WELCOME!

Meet ME!

Howdy! My name is Alyssa. I am 23 and have absolutely nothing figured out. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2025 with a bachelor's in biomedical sciences, with the hopes of going to medical school. However, life took an unexpected turn and I went to paramedic school instead. While I was in paramedic school I discovered that I needed surgery to remove hardware that I’ve had the majority of my life. Now that I am recovering from my surgery, I have lots to figure out, but it feels very isolating. No one talks about the struggles many people face after graduating. Pressures from society expect us to have everything planned after we walk across that stage. But I know that’s not the case for many people. So lets change that….

WHAT I WRITE

Everyday life

Navigating life post-grad is full of unexpected twists and turns. I want to share my struggles and everyday reality with the hopes of connecting with others.

TRAVEL

While I am trying to figure out what to do with my life, one thing I know for sure is that I want to see other parts of the world and share these experiences. So I bought a one-way ticket to Europe.

Work AND rELATIONSHIPS

I love my job and all the friendships I’ve made. But decades from now I don’t want to look back and realize all I did was work. So its time to find a good balance.
